We are seeking an organized, efficient, and dedicated Executive Assistant to support our esteemed Rabbis in various administrative and clerical tasks. At Beth El, we are committed to helping everyone connect and find their joy along their Jewish journey. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation of the Clergy office and assisting in the execution of their duties within the congregation and broader community.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Support: Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Rabbis, including managing correspondence, scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and handling phone calls and emails.

Calendar Management: Maintain the Rabbis’ calendars, ensuring accurate scheduling of appointments, meetings, and events. Coordinate with internal staff and external parties to schedule meetings and events as needed.

Communication Liaison: Serve as a primary point of contact for communication with congregants, community members, and external organizations on behalf of the Rabbis. Respond to inquiries, relay messages, and coordinate follow-up actions as necessary.

Document Management: Manage and organize documents, files, and correspondence related to the Rabbi's activities, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in record-keeping.

Support for Special Projects: Provide assistance and support for special projects, initiatives, and campaigns led by the Rabbis, including educational programs, and community service projects.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred, with prior experience in administrative support, executive assistance, or a related field.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with scheduling software and online communication tools.

Discretion and respect for confidentiality in handling sensitive information and communications.

Knowledge of Jewish traditions, customs, and practices preferred, with a commitment to supporting Beth El’s mission and goals within the congregation and community.
